Morane-Saulnier 230
MORANE-SAULNIER 230
This very rare French, Morane-Saulnier 230 aircraft is rather special to me, it was the first aircraft I experienced aerobatics in. My pilot was Jonathon Whalley, an ex Royal Navy F4 Phantom pilot, so I knew I was in experienced hands! the loops were just wonderful, a beautiful aeroplane to do this in. The aircraft was restored by Tony Bianchi and his Personal Plane Services, Booker airfield, Buckinghamshire, UK. Thanks to owner Tom Leaver, Tony Bianchi and Jonathon Whalley. The aircraft now belongs to Cercle des machines volantes at Compiegne-Margny Aerodrome, Venette, Picardy, France, registered as F-AYMS.

A few of the frames here are stills from a HandyCam, hence the low resolution. I was holding the camera on my shoulder, looking back at Jonathon.
