TWILIGHT
LIGHTING - Twilight / dusk
We have found in the previous chapters that the quality of light has the power to change your subject and its setting from the mundane to the extraordinary and vice versa. None more so than the magical light of twilight, to me this represents the meeting of two worlds. The dying day gives over to night, and at the point they coincide is twilight. There is a magical point that does not last long, and is when you strike. You almost get a physical reaction to it. It’s when the density of the shadow areas are the same density as the sky, or when the walls of say a building are almost the same tone as the sky. You will need a tripod, as exposures will be in seconds, so not really ideal for handholding your shot.
