PLANE CRAZY - The art of photographing aircraft

Concept, design & photography, Jon Davison
Text by Jon Davison
Publisher TBA

This title looks at the ever increasing interest in photographing
aircraft. With the growing number of restored, classic aircraft now
appearing at airshows worldwide, there is a need to try to
portray these machines that reflects the love and time spent in
preparing them for flight once again. Just as automobiles have
been portrayed on TV and film, and are considered 'sexy', aircraft
too are among the most visually pleasing machines made by man.

Thge author has spent many years photographing the world's aircraft,
in the air and on the ground. The art of the specialist area of 'air-to-air'
photography is covered in depth.

Air-to-air shoots include;
Gloster Meteor, CAC Boomerang, P51 Mustang, AT6 Texan,
DH Tiger Moth, N2S Stearman, HP Victor, C130 Hercules, WACO
UPF7, BAe Hawk, F/A18 Hornet, Pilatus PC9, Robinson helicopters
and many more.
