We
were commissioned by Global Doctor to create a
campaign that enabled them to reach elements of the
mining industry, in Australia and South East Asia.
The whole brochure
was constructed in Photoshop only,
no other DPT software was employed at all. This gave
us the freedom to treat the job as one image and not
swop between various programs. This method of designing,
to us as photography based image makers, is a natural
progression that digital technology gives. It is still the
same criteria, We are still image makers. It is still the
same joy of creating on print that the days (and nights)
spent in the darkroom gave.
The finished product
was printed on 300 g/2m stock,
matt laminated overall, with spot UV gloss varnish on
the inset images and large text only.
The criteria here
was that it had to make a mark, be self
contained ( should not fall out of the package) and that
in was informative.
We started the design
with duotone images, these
gradually gave way to spot colour as the brochure
unfolded.

We used selective colour
removal to gradually change
the accent from mono archival images, to full colour.
