ESP was commissioned to produce the Centenary of the WA Police Union
recently ‘Fruits of our Labour’. This was a three month project from concept to
final files sent to the printer.
The main task here apart from assembling all the elements and designing the
book, was to restore all the archival images dating back to 1912. This project
was typical, in that we had to give an honest portrayal of an industry that we
had no real understanding of. In this case the WAPU, its history or function.
In the end, like all our publishing projects, we came away with and were
rewarded with a greater appreciation of an aspect of society we would
otherwise not have been involved with. It is this process that keeps us going!

PHOTO RESTORATION

Our digital artists specialise in restoring archival imagery, no matter how torn or degraded
the original image may be. We can restore it to pretty much as it was when taken, often
even better!

We can even hand colour your black and white originals (such as the above B/W photo of the
air traffic controller taken in the early 1980′s) or sepia images.

So no matter how faded, torn, over or under exposed, we will try and correct the damage
to it. Just email us a low res copy of your image so that we can evaluate the work needed,
and will give you an estimate of how long it will take.

new images of the Pilatus PC12 over generic Australian
locations for their international calendar. For this shoot
we decided upon the stunning landscape of the north
of WA as the backdrop.

‘Robbie – the Robinson helicopter experience’ by Jon Davison, published in
2007 by Eye in the Sky.
This was an awesome project that entailed Jon flying to 10 different countries
to photograph Robinson helicopters at work. The book is based on interviews
with operators from such varied locations as;
Alaska, Norway, UK, South Africa, USA, New Zealand, Hawaii, Cambodia
and Australia. The stories reveal just how much the small R22 and R44
helicopters have changed the face of aerial tourism, mustering, training
and joy flights worldwide. The book includes stunning photos of the
helicopters themselves, but also some amazing imagery of the earth from
