Behind the scenes

Digital studio

Technology has allowed us a certain amount of freedom
now with respect to location portraits. In all our OzBase
publications, we have a portrait shot representing the
characters within a particular chapter. These are all shot
against a green screen on location (see left ‘behind the
scenes’), then in Photoshop back in post production,
we remove this and replace it with a digital coloured
gradient. This gives the illusion that it was
photographed in a studio setting.
